Defending Our Caucus

Dear State Delegate,

The last week has been a firestorm in the governors race after I announced a write-in campaign, and I wanted to reach out to you directly to let you know that I am not working with Democrats or trying to split the Republican vote in a way that would help a Democrat get elected. I am standing up for election integrity and the caucus system, pure and simple. As I stated on Friday, if Spencer Cox and Deidre Henderson provide the records that we have requested that would allow independent verification that they qualified for the ballot via 28,000 valid signatures and won the primary election, I will walk away.

Until then, I cannot in good conscience nullify the time, energy, and effort each of you took to get to know candidates and express your vote as informed members of the party.

I understand this message won’t resonate with everyone, but I do believe that it is crucial that our elections are fair, transparent, and reflect the voice of the people as a caucus system was intended to do. I hope you’ll stand with me.
